Abstract

This chapter presents a biblical doctrine of angels, Satan, and demons under the authority of Scripture alone. It argues that angels are real created spiritual beings made by God to worship Him, obey His commands, serve His purposes, and minister to those who inherit salvation. They are powerful, wise, and active in the biblical story, yet they are not divine, not mediators of salvation, and not objects of prayer, worship, or spiritual dependence. Scripture also reveals Satan and demons as real fallen spiritual powers who rebel against God, deceive humanity, tempt believers, promote idolatry, oppose the gospel, and seek to corrupt the Church through false teaching and counterfeit spirituality. Yet Satan is not equal to God, not omniscient, not omnipresent, and not sovereign. His authority is limited, his accusations are answered in Christ, and his final judgment is certain. The chapter traces angelic ministry, demonic opposition, Christ's authority over unclean spirits, the cross as triumph over rulers and authorities, and the believer's call to resist the devil through truth, righteousness, faith, Scripture, prayer, holiness, and union with Christ. It also addresses contemporary distortions, including angel worship, spirit guides, mediumship, witchcraft, occult objects, New Age spirituality, digital divination, AI spirit simulations, griefbots, psychedelic entity encounters, and one-world spiritual syncretism. The chapter avoids both rationalistic denial and sensational fear. It calls Bible College students, pastors, ministry leaders, families, and believers to sober discernment, pastoral wisdom, gospel confidence, and readiness for the return of Christ, who will finally destroy evil and bring His kingdom to full victory.
