Abstract

This chapter serves as the capstone and integrative conclusion of Foundations of Christian Faith. The preceding chapters have established the authority of Scripture, the identity and works of the triune God, the person and saving work of Jesus Christ, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the reality of angels and demonic opposition, the dignity and fallenness of humanity, salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, the doctrine of the Church, and the hope of things to come. This final chapter asks how these foundations must shape Christian life before God, in the Church, in the world, and in expectation of Christ's return. It argues that sound doctrine must never remain abstract information. Biblical truth must form worship, obedience, repentance, holiness, love, discernment, service, endurance, mission, and readiness. Under the authority of Scripture alone, the chapter presents Christian discipleship as life under God's Word, worship of the Father through the Son by the Spirit, union with Christ, Spirit-enabled holiness, resistance to Satan, faithful embodiment as God's image-bearers, perseverance in grace, participation in the local church, and gospel witness among the nations. It also evaluates contemporary distortions such as secular humanism, New Age spirituality, religious syncretism, occult revival, prosperity manipulation, deconstruction, progressive Christianity that denies biblical authority, digital addiction, artificial intelligence misuse, sexual autonomy, political idolatry, entertainment-driven faith, and spiritual laziness. The chapter concludes that the foundations of Christian faith are not merely doctrines to be affirmed, but truths to be lived until the Lord appears. The Church must therefore remain faithful, humble, discerning, holy, missionary, and watchful until Christ comes.
