This chapter presents the doctrine of things to come as a necessary dimension of Christian faith, discipleship, mission, worship, and spiritual discernment. Scripture does not reveal the future to satisfy curiosity, nourish fear, or authorize speculative date-setting. It reveals the future so that believers may hope in Christ, endure suffering, resist deception, pursue holiness, comfort the grieving, proclaim the gospel, and live ready for the appearing of the Lord. The chapter affirms that Jesus Christ will personally, visibly, bodily, gloriously, and victoriously return. It explains the rapture of the saints, the resurrection and transformation of believers, the tribulation and call to endurance, the deception of false christs and false prophets, the millennial kingdom, the judgment seat of Christ, the final judgment, eternal life, eternal punishment, and the new heavens and new earth. It treats disputed matters, including the timing of the rapture, millennial views, and approaches to Revelation, with humility and care while rejecting any interpretation that denies the future bodily return of Christ, bodily resurrection, final judgment, or eternal destiny. Written under Sola Scriptura, the chapter evaluates New Age ascension myths, occult prophecy, alien-savior narratives, transhumanist immortality, one-world spirituality, secular utopianism, and global systems that promise peace apart from repentance and submission to Christ. It argues that biblical eschatology is not escapism but holy realism. The Lord who was crucified and raised will return, evil will be judged, creation will be renewed, and God will dwell with His people forever. Therefore, the Church must watch, pray, endure, evangelize, and live in the blessed hope.
