Abstract

Background: Since 1776, clandestine networks have quietly shaped revolutions, monetary architecture, ideological currents, and surveillance technologies, yet their cumulative trajectory remains under-examined in peer-reviewed scholarship. Purpose: This study proposes “the serpentine strategy” as an integrative, theologically grounded model that explains how secret societies, financial oligarchies, and technocratic forums have advanced a coherent agenda that parallels biblical end-time prophecies. Methods: Relying exclusively on secondary data, we mapped two-and-a-half centuries of political upheavals, central-bank innovations, ideological projects, and digital-control systems. Historical sources were triangulated with critical-discourse analysis and topic-modeling of United Nations and World Economic Forum corpora. All findings were interpreted through a Sola Scriptura hermeneutic. Results: Three convergent patterns emerge. First, the consolidation of financial power—from early central banking to Bretton Woods and the Bank for International Settlements—has progressively shifted monetary sovereignty from nations to a transnational elite. Second, Enlightenment anticlericalism and twentieth-century critical theory have eroded biblically rooted social orders, fostering cultural conditions amenable to global managerial control. Third, surveillance infrastructures, artificial intelligence, and programmable digital currencies operationalize financial and ideological gains by enabling exclusionary governance that mirrors Revelation 13’s “buy-and-sell” restriction. Conclusions: The historical evidence suggests intentional, longitudinal coordination consistent with the “mystery of lawlessness” motif in 2 Thessalonians 2:7. While causality cannot be proven exhaustively, the alignment between empirical trends and prophetic texts demands sustained interdisciplinary inquiry, greater transparency in supranational institutions, and renewed theological engagement with geopolitics.
